the primrose

a waterside space shaped by stillness

the primrose is our most private hideaway-- small, cozy, and held gently between the woods and the pond's quiet presence. named after our favorite duck, who begins and ends her days gliding across the water, this space carries her calm ease and quiet confidence. tucked among the trees with a clear view toward the pond, the cottage invites you to settle into a softer rhythm. the landscape opens just enough for you to watch the water to see primrose's slow circles, to let your thoughts loosen as the scene shifts and settles. the world grows quieter here, grounded by the hush of the woods and the steady stillness of the water nearby.

like her namesake, the primrose embodies the simple act of resetting-- floating, pausing, finding balance in the gentle calm of nature. it's a place to recalibrate, to breathe deeper, and to let your mind drift where it needs to go.

a sanctuary for those seeking quiet clarity and soft moments, wrapped in the peaceful flow of the pond.

Animals on The Farm

Although we adore animals, our land is carefully tended by our livestock guardian dog (lgd), a pyrenese named maverick, whose instinct is to protect the farm from unfamiliar creatures. to keep our livestock safe and to support the work maverick does each day, we're unable to welcome visiting pets. bringing outside pets could create an unsafe situation for both your pets and ours.

You may see our lgd while you're hiking or joining a farm tour. he is gentle with humans- both big and small- but naturally shy. most often he will keep his distance or quietly slip away. we ask guests to honor his skittish nature by giving him space. please don't chase him, call to him, or try to pet him against his will.

As you explore the land, we invite you to enjoy the farm- watch the animals graze, listen to the rhythms of their day, and take in the landscape that surrounds them. we simply ask that this enjoyment remains visual. for your safety and theirs, please do not touch or feed the animals or their fencing and gates.

Thank you for respecting the rhythms of the animals who call this place home, and for helping us keep the farm in harmony.
